History of CCS

Covenant Christian School began in the fall of 1979. We opened with nineteen children in grades five through nine. Our first building was a house on Root Street in Aurora, Illinois. We used the living room, dining room, and back porch for classrooms. From these humble beginnings we purchased the property at 418 Oak Avenue. We later sold this facility and relocated to 550 Redwood Drive, Aurora, IL 60506. In July of 2009 Aurora Community Church transferred sponsorship of CCS to an independent school board who, with CCS parents, have exciting plans for the future.
